HELP!!-withdrawls- is there a napa sushi bar worth visiting?

JustinRush | Jul 5, 200111:02 AM

ok, i've got the shakes. cold sweat. nervous tics. . .

I've been in napa for about three weeks and while I've had some world class eats (can't get over them smoked willie bird legs-like knawing on a grilled ham hock)I can't find anything comfy-local sushi bar, local taco stand, decent pizza.

For sushi, I need something local for that "let's go get sushi" last minute urge. Been to a few places out here that have fairly sucked. Yoshi Shigei (sp?) was exceptionally pleasant and friendly but the sushi was a joke. Sushi mambo was barely ok. Where do I need to eat?

Also-a taco dilemma. Been to a few Napa taco joints and while the Roots Rock Reggea music at Taco Rosita is cool the carnitas are, well, we'll just say, not what I'm used to. (It's hard to find crappy soft tacos in LA-even the really bad ones are usually pretty damn good.)

Pizza out here, so far, has also sucked. NY Pizza was about 85% crust (if I would have cussed the owner out about the lack of toppings on his pizza and threatened him with a beating with a baseball bat-THEN it would have been authentic NY style pizza)(thats a joke folks)
and Fazzerati's (again, sp?) was not much better.

So, for you locals, when I'm not eating at the French Laundry or Terra, where can I get some good cheap eats?

Peace and Grub
