Tried the WInterlicious meny last night at Thuet. There was no hesitation about offering the menu, it was on the table when we arrived.
Appetizers included a lentil soup and a salad of Manitoba berkshire smoked pork. Salad was decent, though the flavours were a little monochromatic. Uninspiring dressing. Soup was more of a hit, deep rich flavours.
Main choices were either Daube de boeuf or fish. Daube was rich with almost melting meat served over house-made spaetzle. One of the best I've had. The fish was somewhat small, though had good flavours with a peppermint/mizo glaze.
Desserts were fairly good, though very traditional. Choice of profiteroles and bread pudding. Both decent sized portions with good flavours.
All in all, very good. Service was attentive, though trying to push the designer water a bit much, and not stingy with the bread.
