We are visiting Tokyo and Kyoto in mid-April and was curious if they offer wild tiger fugu, not farmed. We understand that it is outside of the season, but not sure if it would be available, but at a higher cost. We were looking at places like Usukifugu Yamadaya or Tsukasa (open until 4/15) in Tokyo and Mutsunoya or Tomoe in Kyoto. The website below says they are open and serve wild fugu during April. I just wanted a couple opinions from locals regarding the topic and whether it's worth it to try. Thanks for your help.
