Western Smoke House re-visited

Way back a while ago I tried this place. Found nothing special about it. The food was average and the setting okay for lunch, but not for dinner.

I was in the mood for Beef Ribs today, so I thought I'd give it another try.

Ordered the Prime Rib Dinner, 3 Beef ribs, 3 sides, $14,95. I had corn bread, onion strings and cole slaw.

The ribs were not very good. Not too meaty and very tough. Gave my teeth a workout to get the meat off!

The sides, however, were quite exceptional! The corn bread so soft it literally fell apart and was dificult to eat, but very delicious.

The cole slaw was so good I ordered a 1/2 pint to take home.

The onion strings were also very good.

The total including a diet coke (hypocrite, I know)and the 1/2 pint of slaw, $20 and change, with tip $23.00

They are doing Thanksgiving dinners, a turkey with stuffing $132,99. A maple brined smoked turkey $135.99 (all turkeys are 13.5 to 14lbs.). I won't be ordering one, nor will I be returning for lunch.
