West Egg Cafe (ATL)

I just had lunch for the first time at West Egg Cafe on Howell Mill near 14th St. It was great. It was a fun room, with tables inside and out, and a couple of couches. They serve breakfast all day and offer an extensive sandwich and salad selection. Also, they are known for their cupcakes, which were recently written up in a "Best of Atlanta" publication. Post-holiday eating rules forbid me from trying one.

I had the Bombay Chicken Salad sandwich which was seasoned lightly with curry and tossed with red grapes and walnuts. It was served with lettuce and tomato on a whole wheat Naan bread (sort of like pita bread). Delicious. My friend had the Green Tomato breakfast wrap which was grilled green tomatoes, bacon, eggs, cheddar cheese, and a tasty horseradish dill sauce, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. Also very good, although the eggs overpowered the green tomatoes.

I'll be back soon.
