I have just returned from a wonderful evening at Anthony Worrall-Thompson's Notting Grill. I am a little drunk.
You should know that my brother and I get together every two weeks or so to look for carniverous excellence in London using as a benchmark some of the beefsteak experinces we have been fortunate enough to have enjoyed in other centres of excellence in the civilized world.
Whatever you may think of AWT I implore you to find it in your heart to visit his restaurant and for £22.50 try his 24oz T Bone. I am prepared to say that it was the finest piece of meat I have experience on these shores for many a year.
For starters we both had the ginormous Krustinoord prawns with chili horseradish dip. All of this washed down with two excellent bottles of Argentine Cab Sauv/Merlot.
Afterward we sat drinking and smoking at the bar with AWT (a most friendly chap - and why the hell shouldn't he be)
