I moved away from Montreal six years ago and had been visiting regularly up until the birth of my daughter 15 months ago. Now we're coming to town for the weekend with said somewhat-hyper toddler in tow. Maybe she'll have her first bite of foie gras...she wolfed down sweetbreads at Locanda Verde in NYC last month so ya never know.
Any good lunch recos, places that are kid-friendly to boot? Availability of highchairs is a bonus. Mid- to high-end is fine, and I'd prefer to stay focused on French/Continental - I live in Toronto now and have all the ethnic cuisine bases covered here, but I truly miss Montreal's bistro culture. However I will pass on ol' fave l'Express as the waitstaff can be less than tolerant at times. Besides, I'd like to try some new things that have sprouted since I've been away.
Oh, and for a dinner I was pondering an early seating between 5 and 6 at DNA, anyone ever go there with a baby? If not there, then where should we go?
