Ways to eat Menudo (the soup)?

Here in Indiana, I've started going to some good independent Mexican restaurants which--unlike mainstream American Mexican chains--serve Menudo, and I adore it (except for one place that didn't rinse the tripe properly once). These places are on a par with those in Southern CA and Mexico.

My question: they serve the Menudo with steamed corn tortillas in one of those round plastic cases, and it would not have occurred to me that soup and tortillas were very complementary. I did take some chunks from the soup and then dip it folded into the soup--sort of French Dip style.
