As some of you know, I had posted a complaint about The Water Grill a number of days ago and asked for help in finding their management so I could write directly. I need to point out that my unhappiness stemmed entirely from poor service: the remainder of the staff and the food were all above reproach. One of the people who answered my query was Harvey Friend, general manager of the Water Grill.
I am writing now to report that Mr. Friend has responded with an apology and a generous offer. Without disclosing any more, suffice to say that his offer was generous and his note to me was completely satisfying.
I remain disappointed at the lack of service I received that evening but based upon Mr. Friend's actions, I will have no hesitation in returning to the restaurant. Indeed, given the quality of the food the night we were there, I look forward to doing so.
