Checked out this new (3 months old) Italian place in the Mission and thought it had some potential. The space has an open kitchen and is very small, only a few tables, but I got there on the late side so it didn't feel cramped. Gorgonzola and spinach salad was tasty and simple, and the meat ravioli with eggplant was perhaps the best meat ravioli I've ever had. My friend's dish of linguine limone (linguine in a lemon cream sauce) was a little heavy, but I guess that's what she was asking for. I'd be interested to hear if other Chowhounds go there what dishes they'd recommend.

The location is the old home of La Villa Poppi -- at 3234 22nd St bet Valencia and Guerrero. Closed Mondays.
