After reading about Vito's on the board last night, I couldn't wait to try it today. All I can say is wow! It was great! Had the plain cheese slice (this was on Vito since I was a first timer and he knew I'd be hooked). That was followed by fresh vegetable with ricotta and then a slice of white pizza. I must say that the fresh vegetable slice was absolutely overwhelmingly delicious.

I know this is supposed to be the most authentic version of N.Y. pizza to be found in L.A. I've never had pizza in N.Y., so I can't say. But I can say that this was some of the best pizza I've ever tasted. (BTW, I got there at 11:40 a.m., so there was not an issue about reheating a slice, since the first pie had yet to be made.)

(I'm concerned that when I looked for last night's post today before I left for lunch, I couldn't find it. I hope it wasn't deleted because of some type of shilling issue. When I met Vito today for the first time and told him I had read about him on Chowhound, he didn't know what I was talking about.)
