was there for dinner sat evening Jan 3d. seems to be an attempt to bring chinese dining to a new level in the twin cities. impressed by the very extensive menu. nice looking restaurant. food came out of the kitchen real fast--hot and fresh. unlike Rainbow, they obviously have real Chinese pros in the kitchen. service was quite good-- maybe the management has responded to numerous reports of bad service. was impressed by the value: $42 for 3 main courses, one bowl of soup, a milk-tea concoction and tapioca desserts.shrimp with walnuts and cream sauce was quite good. seafood hotpot: not enough shrimp but satisfying. kung pao chicken: disappointing. hot and sour soup: OK but could have been spicier for my tastes. i think this place will be a success if they can maintain the quality and keep improving. maybe chinese new year for next visit.
