Virgils Barbecue

Went to Virgil's Barbecue in midtown for lunch saturday before we went to see "The Women" on Broadway. Started out with hushpuppies with maple butter....yummy!!!! And then we all had the pulled pork sandwich. It wasn't bad...alittle sweet for my taste and I thought the roll could have been more substantial. We didn't have any alcohol and with the tip came to $54.00 for 3 of us..kinda pricey but I have to admit the place was spotless and has one of the cleanest kitchens I have ever seen, love that old jadite tile all over the place. It's very funky 50's inside....looks like it's been there forever. The waiter was very nice..he made sure our ice teas were full all the time. I highly recommend seeing "The Women" but 1st do youself a favor and signup at playbill.com and then click on the plays and get the coupon code and save 35% on the tix. Have a good time,Richie
