My wife and I have eaten many memorable meals at Cha Ca La Vong (14 Cha Ca Street, Hanoi, Vietnam), a restaurant famous for and serving a single dish, the eponymous cha ca.
Hanoi is a bit far to go for this succulent dish of fish cooked on a brazier, so I'm hoping to find a restaurant in the San Francisco/San Jose area that makes it. I'm guessing that it's unlikely, since the dish is little-known in southern Vietnam, the origin of the majority of the Vietnamese-American population in California. But you never know.
