Victorinox Fibrox on the chopping block

In the new Cook's Illustrated they reviewed chef's knives under $50, and to no one's surprise the Victorinox Fibrox was the clear winner. However, they said that the company plans to remove it from the consumer market over the next three years, and replace it with a similar knife geared toward the consumer.

The main difference seems to be the handle, which they tested and didn't like much at all.

The Fibrox will still be available, but only on the professional market.
