Venison leg meal

Ten of us purchased together pounds of venison and I am in charge of cooking the leg. I think it's called denver leg and it weighs 5.5 lbs. Though I am competent in the kitchen I have never handled venison before. What do you suggest I do with the leg? And what sides would make the meal complete? I have my reputation to protect, so please help with your suggestions. Thanks!
