I will be staying in Vancouver for business but will have some time for sightseeing/good eats! I will be staying in Downtown but hoping to venture into Richmond too.

I've lived in Bay Area, Houston, and was just in NY/Flushing so would love to try something I don't typically find in these areas

Budget is not an issue but prefer nothing too high end/dress code. Something quiet, hole in the wall/mom&pop would be great. Hate waiting in lines but understand if its delicious :)

Any suggestions for below?

Sushi (traditional- prefer a quiet old guy making amazing but not just typical sushi)

Japanese street food/izakaya- Robson St seems good place to start?

Ramen- Usually go for tonkotsu but anything different would be awesome

Patisseries/Bakeries/Ice Cream - Asian/European especially

Seafood- doesn't need to be high end, something unique for Vancouver

Dumpling/Noodle Soups/Dim sum- would love to try more SE Asian, (Burmese/Malaysian/Viet etc) but great unique Chinese/Korean would be awesome too

Thank you so much for help!!
