Thanks for the recos. Went to Ciopinno Enoteca, Ouest (great diver scallop/foie gras app.), Blue Water (ate primarily ngiri), Cin Cin (nice cheese), Fortes (just oysters) and various out of the way sushi stops. All were really good save Enoteca which was only so so. Never really had stellar service at any place but the food more than made up for it.
Was really impressed with, of all things, Mondo Gelato up on Robson - wonderful flavors. Vancouver actually reminds me of a larger more international Portland (my home town).
