Like some other recent posters, I'm taking the beau out for the birthday. Can spend about $125 (with wine/drinks), but doesn't have to be grandiose, just fantastic. And so I ask:
Aquagrill v. Mary's Fish Camp v. Pearl v . Balthazar's raw extravaganza (so I've heard)?
Tasting Room v. Craft ?
Any other places like Honmura-An w/savory, Japanese dishes (besides sushi and noodles)?
Besides Sripraphai, any superb, non-oily thai?
And, for the mother of all questions, any great Mexican fresh seafood restaurants in NYC (any borough)?
We'll be going this Sunday, so please indicate if I need a reservation, if the joint is cash only, and about how much I'll be spending.
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!
To the Big Dog/chowhound posting enforcers: I know I posted a similar question yesterday. I think I used too vague a subject title then, so no responses. If you have to get rid of one of the two, can you please delete the other? Thank you.
