I just wanted to give an update about the Danish Pastry House on Boston Ave in Medford.
Nothing terrible about but I have to admit (especially being a very enthusiastic supporter) that they still don't have their act together. Unfortunately, I have to agree with some of my friends and neighbors who have been there with me. I go about 4 times a week. So happy we have something like this in the neighborhood.
First thinking it was opening snafus, Im wondering if they arent training their staff right. Typical things youd expect but after a few weeks?
- staff behind counter (if isnt the owners) just dont get it dont know what or how to make an Americano; they are disorganized, theyre not sure what an specific item is. This is sloppy
- takes forever Im no expert but it seems that they way it work there is a hodge podge of movement in short, it might take you 10 minutes to get a coffee or 12 minutes to get a roll and butter (the butter on the side really stumped them)
- payment they still dont have their credit card machine up and going they take your card, kind of run it through but then ask you for your zip code, phone number and tell you that theyll run it through the other stores machine later in the day. THIS ISNT COOL. Especially after a few weeks. As a regular I find this tedious but also inconsiderate.
Yes, yes, Ive mentioned all this to them but thought it good to get it out to the board for thought and discussion.
