Uncle Steve's Pizza in Naperville has one of the best thin crust pizzas in the Western suburbs. The crust is cracker crisp and not heavily salted, and it comes in a whole wheat-blend style, too. The sauce seems to be canned, crushed whole tomatos (no tomato paste) mildly seasoned. The cheese is whole milk mozzarella.
I've never had a bad pie here. I usually eat mine in the adjoined White's Tap, ordering through a sliding window between the two businesses. That's because I can't haul my pitcher of beer from White's over to Uncle Steve's. (White's is an old-school bar, like a Wisconsin lodge bar.)
Any comments from other Hounds who've been here would be welcome. I'd like to know the combos you think are great. I like mushrooms and onions, sometimes with extra cheese.
