Thanks for all the help and due to the overwhelming number of votes for Turkuaz over Gennaro, that is where we went. We had striped whole bass with green salad. Didn't have any, but heard it was good, certainly a large fish and beautifully presented. Also had the thinly sliced lamb and beef over eggplant puree and baked lamb with okra in a tomato rice with a side of plain rice. Both lamb dishes were fine, nothing outstanding though. I've had better at Uskudar, but prices are certainly not comparable. Dessert was the best part of the meal. We had this custard that was rolled with some rice pudding inside which was really good. The service was very nice and unrushed. It wasn't that crowded for a Friday evening. We got there at 7:30pm and the place was more than half empty, it was more full when we left a little before 10pm. Unfortunately we missed the belly dancing which I was told starts at 10pm. Oh well, next time. The decor was interesting with all the fabric on the ceiling and walls. The place wasn't loud at all, as described in Zagat's. It's probably loud only when there is belly dancing. We were able to have a nice conversation without raising our voices. Not a bad choice if you have to be in this neighborhood, which was our case this evening.
