Tryst on NYE

fishtank | Jan 7, 2005 02:37 PM

So I went to Tryst in Arlington on New Year's Eve. The food was absolutely fantastic (bbq quail, lobster paella, mmmm). . .BUT. . .I asked my boyfriend to make the reservation and forgot to mention that he should find out if it's a Pre-Fixe menu. He didn't ask, but they didn't mention it either. They did, however, get his credit card number to make sure we didn't cancel. So we show up and sure enough it's pre-fixe for $85 a person!!! So the meal we were planning to spend around $85 on cost us $250 (with tip and wine). So I guess I'm kind of pissed at them (and pissed at my own stupidity). Don't you think they should have mentioned this over the phone?
