A tragic death at Boston Public Market

BostonBestEats | Aug 11, 2017 03:58 PM

I was just at Boston Public Market yesterday and noticed that there are several vendors (3?) who have closed up shop.

Most tragically, JASPER HILL FARM, arguably the best cheese producer in America, has packed up their wonderful grilled cheese sandwiches and raclette and gone home.

Jasper Hill was my favorite stall at BPM, and certainly one of their signature vendors, as I think this was their only cheese "shop" outside of Greensboro, VT.

There was a sign saying that "Jasper Hill cheese is available at Siena Farm". But when I went down there, they had no idea what I was talking about, although they did have a couple of Jasper Hill cheeses for sale. No grilled cheese of course. :-(

As a sidenote, Jasper Hill's Harbison just fished #3 overall out >2000 cheeses at the American Cheese Society's 2017 Festival of Cheese.
