Tomodachi Sushu Bistro in Hayward

This is a new place opened for the past few months and already has quite a following in this area of Hayward (close to Chabot College). We ordered a lot of dishes here. The room is large with nice ambiance.

-Edamame: free and good
-Drink which consist of somekind of coconut flavoring and had blue coloured tinge to it. Very good $4.95
-Raven's dream is probably mango based, too sweet.
-Robata: beef tongue is tender and excellent, beef with onion is ok, chicken gizzard is a bit tough-not recommended.
-Tai Kama/Sea brem soup with tofu-not recommended, the fish still had scales
-Soft shell crab tempura did not have tasty coatings
-Scallop sushi was pretty good (Raider roll).
-Spiced Baby lamb w/rosemary is also good
-Gyoza is just so-so-nothing special
-Ika Zansai salad is nice
-Salmon skin handroll is nothing special
-New York roll -same as above

So, I was not overly impressed so far. I did not order any sashimis or raw sushis because of my wife who is still nursing.

It is located on 24123 Hesperian Blvd, Hawyard
