Been researching a lot on CH, bento, and other places online and came up with this list. This is my wife and I's first trip to Japan so our goal is to try to eat as many different things as possible. After Tokyo we're heading to Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto, and Osaka where we're planning on getting a kaiseki meal, unagi, and yakiniku so that's why we don't have those meals planned for this Tokyo portion of our itinerary.
We like to visit different neighborhoods when we travel so this list is heavily influenced on where we'll be during the day and night. We'll be staying in the Shibuya area which is why I've planned to spend the nights in Shibuya, Ebisu, and Shimokitazawa. We don't normally eat large breakfasts so I haven't planned those. We love dining in izakaya's so have planned one for every dinner.
Are there any glaring errors or other suggestions for the neighborhoods where we'll be? Should we try another cuisine as well like Okinawan? Are there better ramen places in the Harajuku and Koenji area? Some research also pointed me to Afuri and Ranchu. Are those better than Tetsuya? Also I'm a bit lost on where to go for dinner in Shimokitazawa, any good recommendations there would be greatly appreciated.
