I've been to Chicago before, but it's been forever (probably over 10 years). My husband has never been, but we are coming to a seminar in November (and will probably freeze). His mother is Italian, and we cook good Italian all the time, but I still remember how much more delicious the pasta was at some tiny place where I ate 10 years ago. I really need good recommendations for restaurants. Don't have hotel yet, but we will be staying near the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Honestly, we don't care if we have to walk (although we will likely change our minds on this one when we get there because it'll be freezing) or take a cab somewhere for good food. Some of the places I remember eating were total holes-in-the-wall. We prefere non-touristy places for the most part. If there is some place that is a must, we will try it. We'd love to eat at a really good deep-dish pizza place, some place with really good pasta, hot dog place...and bars...where are the good bars? He's a little bit older than me, so something more low-key as opposed to a club. THANKS in advance for all your help.
