This, NYC's best-ever Tibetan, has been shut for three days with no note outside. It looks bad.
what a shame. a terrific place with an earnest, exuberant owner sincerely trying to feed people well. Not supported by the nabe...the new bohemian arrivals came for tortas, not momo. And the immigrants are looking for familiar comfort, not exciting new flavors. And the Nepalis in the nabe (for whom this WAS familiar comfort) don't have much spending money yet...they're too new to this country, haven't saved up yet.
So it's been just a disaster.
I'll really miss the place.
