Four of us got together Saturday and had dinner at the SLO location for Thomas Hill Organics. Dinner and service was quite good. The noise level however was quite high. I don’t know when\why this trend started. But it seems like a lot of places are designed to be noisy any more. Here, it was to the point that the Server had a hard time making himself heard. I had the roasted pork loin which came with mac and cheese, as well as roasted root vegetables. It was a large piece of pork loin that was seared and cooked to order. Quite good and came medium rare as requested. The roasted vegetables and potatoes were good as well. Not too much going on with the mac and cheese flavor wise. The cheese could have also used a little béchamel. A second dinner ordered the sausage and pepper pizza. A nice looking crust which she indicated was quite good. The other dinners had the sea scallops. Both were quite impressed with the execution. Over all, the meals were well prepared and the potions were generous for the price point. However, we are hesitant to return due to the noise level. Not sure if they have a patio or not. We may return if they do and give that a shot.
