after contacting the parole officer, i got permision to leave w. seattle and immediately high-tailed it to george's deli cause i heard they have a bunch of polish food there. it's true! woot! took home a bunch of uncooked kielbasa, two big jars of kapusta and a coupla dozen pierogis "just flown in from chicago". man... as my brother and sister polaks know, it doesn't get any better than that. and on a related note: this friday is the last day for the friday night feast at the polish home. if you want homecooked polish soul after fri, yr gonna have to wait until oct.
intoxicated from the infusion of polish cuisine, thee redhead and i made it up to elysian brewhouse for some lunch. serious question: when did this place go to hell? the beer is still excellent, so no worries there, but everything else has just slid into the crapper. it looks run down, the service is slow and bordering on surly and the food... ? ordered the chorizo tacos and it was utter dogfood. grease covered the plate. there was grease in the guac. there were pools of grease covering the bottom of the entire plate. holy cripes, it was horrific. thee redhead's tostadas were equally cruddy.
