Just wanted to share a source for Thai ingredients that are not that commonly available....Erewhon Market on 1463 University Ave in Berkeley has a very nice selection of Thai ingredients. They have green papayas, kaffir lime leaves, pandan leaves ....items I haven't been able to find at Ranch 99. There used to be another small Thai grocery on San Pablo Ave. in Berkeley but I haven't been there in a long time. Also wanted to mention that the Chef Choice brand of coconut milk is quite good - it is very smooth with no separation ....some of the other brands separate and there is a large cap of coconut cream/fat that you need to incorporate into the thinner liquid.
