Tasty, inexpensive, somewhat-Americanized Chinese food near Palms???

Palms girl | Jan 18, 2004 04:13 PM

I live in Palms (it's just north of Culver City, southeast of where the 405 and 10 freeways meet) and I'm trying to find a nearby Chinese restaurant to satisfy my take-out cravings. I can't seem to find a balance between overly-Americanized fast-food Chinese, and over-priced, overly-authentic Chinese -- the kind that adheres to the idea (presumeably true, I haven't checked) that fortune cookies are not Chinese. I need a place that isn't too far that does well with basic things like lemon chicken, fried rice, sweet-and-sour pork, egg rolls, chow mein and of course fortune cookies. Any suggestions for a somewhat-Americanized, relatively cheap restaurant?
