Mi Casa was oddly closed today, so I ran around the corner to see what was up at del Sol.
It appears that the previously mentioned closing was more that the owner had sold the place... but the new owner turned around and opened right back up (with new staff). Same style of food, just a slightly different looking menu... and there isn't the cool, old, blond surfer dude wrapping burritos.
My burrito wasn't incredible: the beans didn't have much flavor, and the cheese wasn't well mixed in. But they do have one new feature that will keep me coming back: a salsa bar! No more worrying that there won't be eight of those teeny red salsa things. Red salsa, green salsa, and a salsa fresca. I think there were other things (radishes etc), but I was very distracted. Three cups of salsa, in my mind, makes up for a mediocre burrito.
Prices and food offerings are otherwise about the same.
