Tamales in Danbury

Recently went here for dinner. I was a bit intimidated when we walked in and it was empty!

However, we were very happy with our meals. The chips and salsa were delicious. I had a glass of sangria that I enjoyed.

I ordered the tres combination which was a tamal, chile relleno and a chimichanga. I thought they were all delicious. I'm certainly not an expert on authentic Mexican so I'm not sure that it was. However, I do eat a lot of Mexican or Tex-Mex and I really enjoyed this place. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They seem to do a pretty good takeout business.

My friend ordered the enchiladas with mole sauce. She also enjoyed her meal. She commented on how much she liked the rice that came on the side. I also liked it along with the refried beans.
