tamale/Corn question

I am looking for a type of mexican corn traditionally used for making fresh corn tamales. The corn is yellow, has large kernels and a very low sugar content (high sugar corn causes the filling to get gummy and fall apart). Does anyone know the name of this type of corn?

Is it available in the US?
