It's Tailgating Season!

BigE | Aug 31, 201110:01 AM     3

Ladies and gentlemen, summer is winding down, and that means one thing...football season.

I know there are a handful of tailgating threads around, but I feel like we need a definitive thread, perhaps along the lines of the wildly successful "What's for Dinner?" threads.

Thanks to the Big Ten Network, we no longer have 11am kickoffs (YAY!), so breakfast tailgates won't be as necessary as usual. That isn't to say I won't do them, but I don't think they'll be expected.

Aside from the old standbys (wings, ribs, burgers, chili, etc), I'm always looking to branch out. Our core group is 7 people, with another handful or so mingling. We get to the lot plenty early (4-5 hours), so long cooks are OK.

My grill setup isn't great (Weber Q-100) since we can't have open flame, but the cooking surface is deceivingly big; we regularly have two racks of ribs on it.

Any and all ideas are welcome. :)
