Sweet Good Eats while I Walk

Hi there foodies

I was thinking about doing a patisserie/ bakery walking tour... as in: walk in- eat a baked goodie-and move onto the next place I see. I hear the Leaside (Eglinton subway stop) area is good for this (i.e. Patisserie La Bamboche, Celestin, etc)
Or is West of Toronto (Dundas West subway stop) a good place to start (i.e. Queen of Tarts
I've also walked down Queen St from the Beaches to Queen West where Clafouti is but have been too intimidated by all the bakeries' selections and not purchased anything.

I'd appreciate your help and recommendations on some good bakeries/ patisseries. Also, what should I order at these places?

Thanks in advance :D
