How is Sushi Main Street in Half Moon Bay these days?

Larry Stein | Dec 12, 200311:20 AM     2

I seem to recall some posts on this awhile ago, but can't locate them. The review on sfgate.com is a few years old.

If it's not up to snuff, what are the best Japanese/sushi places in the San Mateo/Belmont/San Carlos/Burlingame/Foster City area? I've tried most of the places in San Mateo and the restaurant in the Marina Plaza shopping center at the 101/Hillsdale exit. Most have been acceptable, but sushi is pricey even if it's just merely acceptable. I'd like to find something better than that. My daughter wants to go out for Japanese food for her 7th birthday on Tuesday. It's a school night so we'd like to stay within the geographic area above (HMBay is the exception).
