I enjoy eating sushi. I like the fresh fish, great vegetables and rice. Soy sauce is my friend. Wasabi makes me cry. I like the ceremony of preparation and eating of the meal.
My wife had sushi for the first time last week. She was a bit frightened of the raw fish, but gave it a go, ate her fill, did not get sick. She is such a trooper.
She floored me with a thoroughly wife question afterwards, "What is good about it?"
I made some remarks about texture, freshness, healthyness etc. But now I'm thinking...
What is good about it? Have I fallen for some hype?
