Restaurants & Bars 2

surprisingly good brunch

I just wanted to boast about a great brunch I had on Sunday, at of all places - Murphy's Law at Queen/Kingston Road. I normally wouldn't have expected to be impressed by this place.
I'm usually not an eggs-for-breakfast fan, but since it was 2:30 I decided to have their 2 egg breakfast, served with choice of strip bacon, peameal or sausage, choice of toast, home fries and small cup of fruit salad. I ordered the eggs poached medium, peameal bacon, and whole wheat toast, and coffee of course. The meal arrived hot and fresh, with a large amount of home fries (kind of tatertot-ish but fresh-hot, spicy and crispy) two big slices of peameal and four slices of toast. The eggs were as ordered - no runny yolks but not rock hard. The coffee was good and they even brewed a fresh pot of decaf for me.
The total bill was $8.86, they brought water for my dog and let me read my paper in just the right amount of peace.
