Super Bowl viewing suggestions - chowhound style

Shannon Clark | Jan 28, 2004 11:11 PM

Okay, to take a break from the serious food philosophy and celebrate one of America's true national holidays, I have a question for the board:

Where would be a good, chowhound friendly, place to watch the Super Bowl?

Ideally the food would be interesting, plentiful, and cheap. The screens large. The location suitable for a non-car driver (El, bus, or cheap cab ride from Old Town). And ideally it should either be non-smoking or barring that, not heavily smokey.

Clearly various bars come to mind - but I'm a chowhound, not a drinkhound - my beverage of choice this Sunday is perhaps a few cokes then switching to water, iced tea, or maybe diet coke.

Any ideas?
