Sunday brunch, ideally near the Peninsula hotel

I'm looking for a place to have brunch on Sunday during the Labour Day long weekend. I've looked at Norma's, but I'd rather not pay $20+ for an entree. I saw Sarabeth's central park south, but wondering if it's just a tourist trap. I like the Smith's menu, but wondering if there are any other good places to check out.

I actually have reservations at Feast in East Village but didn't realize it was so far from the hotel at the time. But if you think the food is worth the trip, then maybe we'll just cab it/drive.

On that note, if there's a restaurant that you think is worth a cab ride, I'm game. The only thing is we have to go to Jamaica Estates afterwards, so it's preferable if the restaurant is on the east side just to make the commute easier.
