Suggestions for a Memorial dinner in the Portland area

Samurai | Feb 27, 201807:56 PM     3

In late July I will be coming to Portland (from San Francisco) to host a memorial dinner for my mother-in-law (who recently passed away). She had family in Portland. I am expecting 15-20 people to attend. I am looking for good food and friendly, efficient service, but given that some of the people are older (nineties), I'm not really seeking dishes that are too experimental. Comfort food (farm-to-table) in a nice setting would be ideal. Given the type of dinner this is, if the restaurant has a separate room, or at least a layout that will allow the group some separation from the rest of the customers, that would be great. One of the people attending is handicapped (wheelchair) and regularly uses the public transit system in Portland, so if the restaurant is reachable by public transit, that is an added plus. If possible, I'd like to stay within a $50/person budget (not including drinks). Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone for your help.
