A new colleague has joined our department and she hails from Korea. I've been fortunate to receive a couple of gifts of homeade kim chee from her kitchen. I'd like to reciprocate by cooking or baking something for her, but I'm unsure what might be likely to appeal to her. I'd also like my gift to be something new to her yet pleasing to her palate. I've asked her what foods or cuisines she'd like to try but either due to cultural reasons or linguistic barriers (or a bit of both) she hasn't replied. Any suggestions? P.S. I cook every day and bake occasionally, but I'm not a gourmet. I'm willing to stretch and exert some effort but don't want the gift to be held up while I attempt to attain many new culinary skills.
