Stewpot/Stockpot shape and usage

PutSomethingTogether | Feb 16, 201506:23 PM     25

I just impulse buy clicked on a 6.5 quart Silit Low stewpot. I feel like I got a great deal on it, (It retails for $195 and was on sale for $80 plus for kicks I put in "shopwmf" code and surprisingly it gave me an additional 20% off) I am not really sure how to use it.(stews right? hah hah, The shape seems a little funny. I am a novice in the kitchen. I was wondering what the difference is in regards to cooking applications between the traditional high stockpot shape and this shape. Any suggestions on how to get some use out of this thing would be helpful.
