Austin and Houston have some pretty active Chowhound posters ... especially when it comes to BBQ and Christie's seafood restaurant. Seriously, it's clear that there are some real Chowhounds in the southern part of the state.
But I have to wonder: Is there just a general lack of interest in Dallas restaurants, or have all of us given up?
Trying to see whether anyone is out there, I'll ask a basic question to try to start the dialogue.
If I want to take a few colleagues out for a really good dinner to thank them for their support and work during the past year, which restaurants should I consider? Expense isn't a major consideration, but "more expensive" doesn't necessarily mean "better" in my book.
Places I have been thinking about: York Street, Modo Mio, Mi Piaci, Eccolo, Pacific Cafe.
Thoughts, nominations, "downhill alerts"???
