Have lived in Los Angeles since 1982 and can't get that old style, dark colored, St. Louis fried rice. You know, the stuff they made at all those take-out places. No peas and carrots but bean sprouts. Out here, all the fried rice is very light colored and loaded with peas and carrots.
My favorite was Park Chop Suey and went there every time I came back. I guess he sold the place and opened some restaurant out in the Chesterfield area.
Any help would be appreciated.
