SRQ: Lazy Lobster or KayCee's?

Indy 67 | Dec 30, 201406:03 AM     2

Does anyone have any experience -- positive or negative -- at Lazy Lobster (Lockwood Ridge) or Lazy Lobster of Longboat (Gulf of Mexico Dr.) or KayCee's Seafood (Fruitville)? The first two appear to be the older siblings of the third place. My husband and I love fish/shellfish and we're trying to expand our options. (KayCee's menu looks varied and appealing. It's also the closest of the three to our place.)

Here's my run down on the places we've already tried: Owen's has some very good dishes but gets too busy during high season. Ditto for Walt's. Love the fish entrees at Mariscos Azteca. We enjoy Tide Table, East, but, on a night that I'm not in the mood to cook, I'm typically not in the mood to drive up to Bradenton. That's why I'm asking about new-to-me places.

If no one has any feelings about the Lazy Lobster family of restaurants, can you recommend a place I haven't mentioned? Thanks.
