Finally tried this place on the recommendation of the fellow hounds.

The guy at the counter insisted that they are not re-heated, but rather they "finished cooking" the slices in the small oven by the counter. Being slightly skeptical, I ordered a whole pie - I figured it would be the only way to find out if they're really good or just good...

After we ordered, the guy at the counter offered us a slice from the deli case to compare with our freshly baked pie.

It was ok, but I gotta tell you - nothing like the pie from the oven. I was pleased as was my friend who hailed from NY. You just can't get quite the right consistency with a short reheat time. For lunch or in a pinch I think the finish cooking method would be okay, but not for a destination meal where I would eat more than a slice.

Prices are good, service nice and friendly. I have half a pie that I'll be having this morning for breakfast (cold of course) with some colleagues.
