Two specific Madrid questions

I asked this in someone else's post but maybe I'll get some suggestions if I post in a new thread.
I've gotten lots of good ideas on general eating in Madrid but my specific question is where should my friend take me for my "travel agent" dinner? That's my payoff for doing all the planning, booking etc. (coming from Boston). I'm thinking about 100 euro or so for 2 including a few cocktails (is that reasonable?). We'd like a fun vibe, a little modern but definitely with a Spanish feel, not a complete replica of a big city restaurant in the US. We like all foods but I think straight Spanish/Mediterranean style is best for this meal. We'll go to any fun area of the city but we'll be staying at Hotel Sieteislas on C/ Valverde. I appreciate arobmadrid's suggestion of In Situ which I hope to try, but there have to be other places that fit the bill. Any thoughts? We don't leave until Mar. 21 but I'd like to make a reservation if we need to a week (or more if needed) before we go.

Also, I always like to have one nice cocktail at a swanky spot, maybe in a nice hotel or some classic old bar in the city. What fits the bill for this? Thanks.
